Help
Four things people ask. If yours is not here, write to us.
Contact us
One mailbox, read by David. Write about anything — a plan you are partway through, a cut that does not look right, a question before you buy, or a mistake you have found in a plan set. Corrections are welcome and they get fixed.
Your downloads & orders
Every plan set is an instant download: a print-ready PDF for the shop, plus a web version for a tablet on the bench. Your download link arrives by email the moment the payment clears.
- Lost the email? Your orders and download links live in your account with our payment provider — open your orders and enter the email address you bought with.
- Bought with the wrong address? Write to us and we will move the order to the right one.
- Plans get updated. When a plan set is revised, the link you already have points at the current version — you do not buy it again.
Refunds & the license
Refunds
If a plan set is not what you expected, write to us within 30 days and we will refund it. You do not have to explain yourself, and you do not have to prove you deleted the file — we would rather have your trust than the price of a plan set.
If you have found something actually wrong with a plan, tell us that too. A refund is the least useful thing we can do about a mistake; fixing it helps every builder after you.
What your license covers
- Personal use — the plan is licensed to you, for your own home.
- Build it yourself, or have it built. Hiring a contractor or an organizer to build it for your home is still personal use.
- Print it. Print the PDF as often as you need, and mark it up.
What it does not cover
- Sharing or reselling the plan itself — the PDF, the cut list, the diagrams — in print or online, without written permission from Peterson Plans.
- Building from it as part of a business — pieces built to sell, rental property, or client work. Those need a commercial license.
If that is you, we want to work with you — write to help@petersonplans.com and we will talk it through.
Your purchase is handled by Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record — they appear on your statement and handle the tax.
Questions before you buy
What is actually in a plan set?
- One task per card, in the order you do them — not a wall of text to hold in your head.
- A diagram on every step, drawn from the same model the cut list comes from.
- A cut plan that packs your parts onto the fewest sheets, with every offcut accounted for.
- A shopping list, totaled before you go, with what to buy and how much.
- A print-ready PDF and a web version — paper for the bench, a tablet for the shop.
Do I need a big shop?
No. The plans say which tool each cut wants and what to do if you do not have it. Most of these were built in a two-car garage.
Are the dimensions fixed, or made to fit my room?
The playhouse plans are complete sets at fixed dimensions — the building we built, worked out board by board. The closets and the feature walls are the opposite: you give the wall, and every panel, batten and shelf is solved to it. Each product page says which it is, plainly.
Have you built this one yourself?
Every plan we sell came off something that stands in our house or our yard. Where a build is still in progress, its page says so instead of pretending otherwise.
